  • Property taxes are a real cash cow for states if they use them properly. Where I live they do the same about every 3 to 5 years they re-assess peoperty values and adjust property taxes accordingly. My sister lives in Eugene, OR. They have no sales tax, but property taxes are outrageous.

  • @RP - I really hope you were being sarcastic in your post. Let's see where do I start? Foreclosure Prevention Program. - Foreclosures are still happening at an alarming rate and the fed gov can't figure out the algo to effeciently administer the program.

  • I'm just wondering when people are going to realize any crime is a hate crime whether it be prepetrated by white, black, green, against gays, against elderlies, et al. To single out a specific group for hate crime legislation is redundant and IMO borders on being discriminatory in concept.
